Artist's Description

work in progress. Sept 2011

100cm x 60cm acrylic, glue, white pencil and oil paint on wood panel
Do you ever do something that you like for its simplicity and its economy? Should you stop when you like an image early in its creation?

I took a long time to create a good texture on a wood panel using paint, glue, sandpaper, hand prints and paint throwing. During this process I came up with this silhouette image.
White pencil was used to create the figure and the background was painted in with oil paint.
