This was shot in Manchester city centre (Deansgate) and shows Kendal’s department store, which has been trading for 177 years.

The long shutter speed has enabled me to capture the traffic trails in this culturally diverse and cosmopolitan city.

Taken in RAW and in manual mode with a Nikon D300s (tripod mounted) and a Sigma 10/20 lens, set at a focal length of 10mm. Other settings are F22, shutter speed 20 seconds and the ISO was set to 100.
Post processed in CS5.
