Shot in RAW and in aperture priority mode with a Nikon D300s and a Nikon 70/300 lens, set at a focal length of 300mm. Other settings include an ISO value of 100, F33 and a shutter speed of 1/30th sec.

    Excellent capture. I’m curious, when I was there I don’t remember the castle being that close to the Loch, is this taken from the back of the castle.

  • Hi Mary, thanks so much for the comment. The photograph was taken from ‘St Cathrines’ on the other side of Loch Fyne using a zoom lens, this is probably why it looks closer than it actually is.
