The Pantheon by Stephen Knowles

Available to buy on…

Taken on a recent visit to Rome, this is inside The Pantheon.
Completed in 126AD, The Pantheon is the Roman monument with the greatest number of records: the best preserved, with the biggest brick dome in the history of architecture and is considered the forerunner of all modern places of worship. It is the most copied and imitated of all ancient works.

Taken with a Nikon D300s, Sigma 10-20 lens.

Thank you for being interested in my photographs. My own website has examples of my portrait work, which is not shared on RB, if you would like to take a look. All comments and feedback are much appreciated.

Stephen, this is WONDERFUL, good use of the angle of the light through the dome. We were just there in March 2010 and I could never tire of the beauty of this place…Jules
