The much photographed and admired Eilean Donan Castle, located on Loch Duich, Scotland.
One of the most iconic images of Scotland, Eilean Donan is recognised around the world. It sits on an island at the point where three sea lochs meet, and is surrounded by some majestic scenery. This castle is one of the most visited in the Scottish highlands.
The castle was first inhabited around the 6th century, the first fortified castle was built in the mid 13th century.
Taken in RAW and in manual, with a Nikon D80 (tripod mounted) and a Sigma 24-70 lens, set at a focal length of 36mm. Other settings include F5.6, ISO 100 and a shutter speed of 1/20th sec.
