The Green Hornet by StephenKinna
Clear

A few years ago on a two month holiday to western Canada, I discovered a small scale wrecking yard west of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan which included a number of old classic cars from the 1930’s through to the late 1970’s. Amongst the collection were Buick Eights, Chevy Impala’s, Plymouth Fury’s and this beautiful old 1953 Hudson Hornet.

Eventhough it had misaligned and damaged panels, a poor quality interior, no bumper or headlight surrounds and a reasonable amount of rust in the door sills (and most likely the floor), it was available for sale for a mere $600.00. If I could’ve afforded it at the time, I probably would have bought the car and arranged to ship it back to Australia to restore. Oh well, maybe one day …

Stephen is a passionate self-taught photographer of restored, project and neglected classic cars and trucks who also enjoys the excitement of finding and capturing the unique atmosphere of abandoned buildings and towns, individual and quality street art and overseas destinations in fine detail. Stephen’s dramatic images have been published in magazines, exhibited at motoring shows, won awards in photo competitions and been utilised on websites.
