Every now and again your spirit is uplifted by the actions of another…….
Late last year I received a letter in the mail from the wonderful Mrs Edward’s, an elderly lady from Victor Harbor. This town is over 400 kilometers from where I now live.
It seems that during a clean out of her late fathers personal possessions she came across my Grandfathers World War One Service medal.
With very little to go on and no knowledge of my family Mrs Edward’s tracked me down, wrote to me and offered me back this amazing part of my families history.
I spent a wonderful afternoon meeting with her and sat and listened to her stories about her life. At the end of the day we were no wiser as to how my Grandfathers medal came into her families possession.
Events like this remind me of what a special world we live in with honest and noble people.
Bless you Mrs Edward’s – you are a very special lady.
