Strong clouds moving in over old ruins near Mannum, River Murray, South Australia.

Many thanks to Dave Hartley from the Mannum Motel for the evenings shoot with access to great sites like this – a real piece of our history. (see Dave’s work also on RB)

Mannum is a magical place to get shots of the river still flowing by peacefully, great relics of our past and some of the best evening sky’s I get to see.

Canon 7D, 17 -85 lens.
Focal length 17 – 1/250th second – F 10 – with CIR polarising filter.

Gorgeous shot Steve, really captures the feel of the Australia that is too quickly lost to modern and urban living – give me an old ruined cottage any day :)

Amazing sky in this one Steve. It was definitely a good choice to use the Polarising filter, it has really added to the drama.
