The platform of the old Coonawarra railway Station. Overgrown and disused but still bearing the hallmark name of the region.
For those few of you who have never heard of Coonawarra it is THE premium red wine region of Australia. Blood red soil over limestone in perfect growing climate.
Near Penola in the Limestone Coast region of South Australia.

Great pic..wonderful in B&W Steve..so country Australia with the corro iron .. is one of my favourite rail sidings – … might be due to its close proximity to some great wineries
Superb Steve.
this is brilliant,,,,I love the perspective,,, and those clouds are amazing,,, well done
This is great Steve. next time I go to the Mount will have to check it out……….
Suzanne, if your traveling South towards the Mount turn right at Coonawarra to go to the shop or Wynns Winery, keep traveling out for about two kilometers and you cant miss it…
