Post Lines.
Split reflection of an old fish trap fence stretching out into what is left of the water in the Coorong National Park.
This fence is located between Salt Creek and meningie on the main Coorong Road.
The water in the Coorong is still dangerously low and acidification of the soil is evident in the area of this fence.
Shot in RAW and converted to B&W in Photoshop CS3.
Canon 400D – 17-85 lens with CIR Polarising filter.

A powerful image, Steve. And a lot of us deeply concerned about the state of the Coorong. Flooding it with seawater sounds distinctly scary. Doing something politically incorrect about the the mindless hogs further up the Murray-Darling system would seem a better solution. But you’d probably like to know what I REALLY think…

Thanks John for your ongoing support. I’m with you on this one, two years ago I couldn’t stands where I took this photo from as it was underwater and it smells that badly at the moment that I worry that it’s past saving.
Jim Robertson
Steve nice image. I’d like to hear more about what’s happening in the area.

Could these be a rival for the ever-popular Port Willunga posts?? Spectacular image!

I like the low perspective that adds to the drama of the post against the clouds. So sad what is happening down there.

Lovely B&W image Steve …. love the lighting and the reflections, an excellent image that does not depict the true problems associated with our water ways!!
