The Red Door
Found this wonderful old unoccupied building at Rendelsham, (between Millicent and Beachport) in the Limestone Coast region of South Australia.
Bright bold peeling red paint on the front door, offset by small flute corrugated iron walls.
Surrounded by old rusted out cars, tins and a range of heritage items this place stands as a wonderful reminder of times past.
Canon 400D 18-55 lens.

The Red Door belongs to the following groups:

What a great shot Steve. Lovely tones and composition
Steve Chapple replied
Thanks John, I was worried about the softness on the door almost like a shimmer, but it was caused by the fly wire overlay so not much I could do with that.

glad you added the description, the area has a lot of old homes with the thin corrugated iron i would love to get some inside shots of some of these places where they also have the pressed metal ceilings although most have been stolen or just removed for sale. glad to see some of these less stable relics can still be found. great image!
Steve Chapple replied
Thanks Chris. This one is still intact, well at least secure. I have found out who the owner is and am arranging to get inside soon. Should be a hoot!
