Pardon my cluelessness…a regular 18-55 mm lens with extension tubes turns it into a macro lens?? I’ll be getting my first DSLR for Xmas, but there is no way I can afford a Canon macro lens since they cost as much as the camera. Currently I use a clip-on Raynox DCR-250 macro lens with my Olympus SP-550UZ, but I don’t think the Raynox will work with a DSLR. It would be awesome if all I needed to do great macro like this was extension tubes with the standard 18-55 mm lens.
