Salad Bowl!
On a group photo shoot last night with six other members of the Mt Gambier and Limestone Coast camera Groups.
Travelled to Carpenters Rocks and to the Lighthouse looking over Red Rock Bay.
With an extremely low tide the green growth was exposed and created a bed of colour across the rocks.
Canon 400D, 18 – 55 lens with Hoya CIR Polarising filter.
Thanks to Globalphotos for the name change!

This is just gorgeous.
And the title is great.
Is it a local nickname for the place or just something that came to you?
Steve Chapple replied
Amanda thanks for all of your support and the comments. I actually had it called something else and globalphotos suggested this name so I changed it. All credit to her for that one.

This is astounding!!! Was it windy? It looks like it, from the ‘sideways ripples’ in the pool in the foreground. Gorgeous scene, gorgeous edit job!
Steve Chapple replied
Ann thanks for all of your comments and constant support. It was very windy, that windy that we weren’t game enough to change a lenses whilst there, this pool was somewhat protected from the wind by the rocks.

Steve Chapple replied
About 40 kilometres from our place, closer to Mt Gambier at Carpenters Rocks….
Andy Smylie
Nice one Steve. Where on the Limestone coast is this??
Steve Chapple replied
Andy, thanks for dropping by. This is at Carpenters Rocks, about 30 ks from Mount Gambier on the coast. You go through Carpenters onto a dirt road that leads up to a lighthouse overlooking Red Rock Bay. (abt tens minutes from the town). This is at the point directly below the lighthouse on low tide.
