The residents stories at Panther Ridge remind us that it is with education and compassion that wild felines have a chance to survive. Beautiful individual portrayed, Stephen. Is it Matt or Charlie?.

  • Stephen Beattie replied

Hey Carmen, thanks for the feedback! Even Judy, the Director of Panther Ridge, has trouble telling the two cheetahs apart. :-) I’ll bet if we asked her, she’d let us know. I’ll get back to you.

Thank you, Stephen, for your efforts. If our subjects are identifiable, adding their names to the image title or description along an extra link to their stories, if any, helps further their cause.

    In appreciation,
    Carmen

  • Stephen Beattie replied

I’ve added a direct link to the cheetah information page at Panther Ridge, as per your suggestion. :-) I’ll do that with the other cheetah and ocelot photo as well. Thanks!

This should do well in the challenge. This is beautiful did you take this in a zoo in Fl? You should submit this to the group Florida the sunshine state. By your photo she looks like she is free not in a cage. Fantastic shot with her looking right at you !

This young male cheetah lives with his brother in the Panther Ridge Conservation Center, Wellington, Florida. It’s a place that takes in abused, neglected, of abandoned big cats and lets them lives their lives with some dignity. The enclosure that I was in with the cats is the size of a football field… He was checking me out! :-)
