Reflect (Belvade Jasper) by Stephanie Bateman-Graham

A microscope view of the mineral Belvade Jasper. Stand back and see an impression of a lake scene at sunset, complete with reflected sky and trees. The grainy appearance of the image is true to the original subject – the patterns and colours of jasper are formed from grains of different material fused into a solid slab. Under the microscope this structure becomes much more apparent.

Enthusiast. Over-analyst. Geek girl. Cat mother. Reborn horse tragic. Writer. Irritant. Rock photographer.
