Microscope view of the mineral Tiger Eye (also known as Tiger’s Eye) from Western Australia. This is a flat unpolished slab but I always find it difficult to believe pictures of this material aren’t 3D formations.

Formed by stacking two images at different focal lengths to compensate for limitations in the microscope optics.
