Here we are at another monday. A weekend full of painting is behind me, yet I feel like I didn’t make much progress. I’m working on the art which will be made into posters for The Pink Show . It is an honour to have been asked to do the poster this year, and I’m feeling a bit of pressure about it being that it is the 5th anniversary. Also I’m including a historical building in it, The Tower Theatre. As you can see from my portfolio, i really don’t draw or paint buildings!! I have faith that it will come together eventually, but I’m just at that point where I feel like it never will. Gotta keep on truckin’ and not get discouraged.
Anyway, thank you to the buyers of many of my cards last week, and also I finally have a copy in my hand of The Undercurrent, which my piece “Tangled in the Mangroves” is on the cover. There is also a little interview inside. It was definately one of my personal goals to be in this magazine, it is our local paper for the arts and entertainment. I am so thankful for everything that has been happening this year. It proves that hard work eventually WILL pay off :o)
