D …there’s something unique and special about the english countryside isn’t there. I feel very fortunate to live somewhere that has such gorgeous countryside right on my doorstep! Woods and trees were my playground when i was a kid so i love taking photos of them! Sorry you’re missing england but glad they make you feel that way! It’s a great compliment! :)Garth Smith

somehow black and white makes images very powerful…is that because we bring ourselves to it or because its more evocative? I can never be sure..

I don’t know, but taking away the distraction of colour from our eyes is definitely one reason i think by breaking a picture down to just light and shadow. Always makes it look much stronger! :-)
