Calhoun, United States

Born in Reykjavik, Iceland. An aspiring photographer, I learn a little more each day through trial and error (a lot of error), the constructive criticism of others and studying other works. If you see any particular area(s) that need improvement, please feel free to send me a Bubblemail. I openly welcome any help I can get. Thanks to everyone that takes the time to look at my work and especially those that take a moment to make a comment.

03/30/08: Since I wrote the above, I have taken 2 courses in photography and can’t wait to get into an advanced class. I just returned from a trip to the West, where my friend, Cliff, and I took a road trip which spanned over 4,000 miles and 10 National Parks in 12 days. The main purpose for this trip was photography. Now that I’m back in Louisiana, a total of about 8,000 miles in all traveled, I have almost 5,000 photographs to sift through. I have to give a tremendous thanks to my best friend, Cliff, whom without, this trip would not have been possible for me. Maybe our next one could be sponsored by the energy drink, Red Bull, which kept us going on this all-out, almost suicidal, photography tour.

Another Photography Road Trip!!

On September 1st, I fly to Seattle to meet up with my best friend and mentor, Cliff Worsham . From there, we plan to head over to Wyoming, my favorite place to photograph in the United States so far, and then head down to New Mexico to check out Chaco Canyon, which he has been telling me so much about. I also hope to get my hands on the Canon 7D he recently acquired, along with a couple of ‘…

Turning 3 myself. turns three and I’ve been a member from almost day 1. That’s when my best friend, Cliff Worsham, gave me my 1st SLR and began to take the art seriously. I fell in love with it immediately and I have learned so much, especially from the works of others on this magnificent site. There are so many excellent artists here and I kind of feel as though I don’t belong here…

In A Rut?

I seem to be at a point where I have no inspiration. Maybe my unrelenting depression? Maybe the season? I hate the winter so. Perhaps I don’t see the forest for the trees. Maybe it’s a mid-life crisis? At 41? Is there some rule as to when you’re suppose to have one? / I don’t live in what I would call the most scenic part of the world but I know there is a lot to be seen t…
