Very interesting! It’s obvious each of us sees something completely different in this piece. With the title, it was easy for me to see Jesus’ feet nailed to the cross. In fact, I can’t see anything else! I can’t find the humour that the groups for humour saw and used to approve it. I can’t see it as a body scale because of what I see as nail heads. I even saw the colours of the lower legs as ‘artistic license’ for blood! At best I can see it in the Symbolism in Art group only as in my interpretation.
‘Explanations’ can kill a piece of art faster than a direct hit from lightning so I won’t ask, being the polite artist I try to be. :-D But I’ll be watching the future comments to see what other’s see because this is now EXTREMELY intriguing!
