Another awesome shot steen. The orange sky is briliant and the timing of the wave hitting the generator is spot on…fantastic shot…
Philip Rogan
Tough on the generator no? Great wave timing. Strange image as I have never seen such a thing like this construction if it is a generator, is it?

I thought I’d already made comment on this awesome pic but apparently not. Awesome! You’ve done real well getting the exposure right, and having done that you’ve done even better getting such great sharp detail in the generator with such little light (ie slowish shutter speeds). Love the mood too. Great great great!
Mick.

Awesome shot and so encouraging in these murky times. I remember Salter’s Ducks. Early attempt at capturing wave energy. Stupid British government refused to fund further research tho. Glad someone picked the idea up.
ltruskett
What a freaky looking shot…............fantastic, a bit scary too.
avalyn
I agree with Itruskett – it is freaky, but made me cheer for the sea too.

I have just made a Kneeboard Surfing tee. i dont feel very satisfied with it since i havent seen this sport except your pics, trying hard to feel the movement on that board. But that’s fun time.

Wow this is a sick photo – look at that right hander.. haha :) i’ve never seen anything like this. WEll done.
Rae Threnoworth
p.s – great exposure too, bringing up just enough detail in the foreground (what are those by the way). what ever they are, they create a great frame for the intense action in the centre of the image, topped off with that brilliant sky.

hey! you should join the art activism union group! they have a challange right now that is accepting entries that this would fit so well! its on climate control! twhat with the way we work against instead of with or for our earths resources, this is a great piece showing something that works with instead of against!

steen

Fabulous example showing the use of renewable energy generated by water!
E.R. Bazor
Very cool shot!
Having grown up on the ocean I always thought there was so much energy to capture there that there was no reason to be importing oil. Of course, ocean water does tend to rust things like crazy so they had to overcome that first.
Daryl Gordon
another awesome shot maybe as a side effect this could produce some banks on beaches where there are none.Congratulations on being featured in Industrial Landscapes
steen replied
cheers Daryl, it does produce surfing banks

This is cool – I’d love to see it in the Earth Keepers group! Congrats on your feature~
