I don’t know what to say
Only that I must stay

Down inside the depths
Crowned inside the traps
For all to see

All of you looking hastily… at me
I look back at you and say
“Don’t look at me, look away”

The laughing, the hacking
Then they say
“You think you’ll get away”

One by one he was picking them off
Standing them up against the wall
Pinning them up so they didn’t fall

He was looking at me ever so gently
While deep inside
He was worsening lately

Bubbling upon the surface
Anger & hate showing on his face

Never had I seen this so plain

Now I lay in wait for my chance of escape

I don’t know what else to say only that I know I must stay

Laying in Wait

Yet again a dark tale of a woman who in her afterlife is caught in the wrong place. Regardless she thinks of escape but knows there is no way out. She’s waiting for her eternal soul’s death that is inevitable but she knows not when.
