This started out as a pen&ink drawing in a series of ‘celebrities’
that I did several years ago. I eventually added graphic / digital
Andy Warhol and Peter Max were a big part of my youth in the 60’s –
I loved their work. They became a huge influence in my artwork.
It turns out that Peter Max was a little boy in Shanghai, China where he
lived in a Jewish Refugee Camp during World War II with his
family – and my mother knew him and his family (as she also lived in the
camp after fleeing Berlin with her family).
