This was my 3rd oil painting, I tend to think I got lucky somehow with it because I wasn’t very experienced and didn’t know what I was doing. But I do remember being very relaxed when I did it, maybe that helped me. If I feel any pressure at all I can’t produce anything decent.

Gorgeous work

Sometimes I am relaxed, wile painting, but usually I’m in a lot of pain – as I have a chronic pain condition – which is worsened by painting or sitting at a pc!!

But when I look at one of my paintings which I like, I forgot the pain that went along with its creation!!

In fact, the act of painting and creating, brings you above it somehow, even if it rages badly afterwards!

Colin, I’m sorry to hear of your painful condition, if painting helps you with that, that’s a blessing. I’ve seen your portfolio and you are very skilled with the water colors.

Thvis is a lovely composition. Almost looks like a Monet, the French painter. The colors are light and sunny. Perfect for this subject.
