That is a whole lot of information! Having never seen the dashboard of a big rig before, I’m unfamiliar with this but can figure most of it out. I am wondering what “next maneuver” is and how the truck already knows about it. :)

  • Well Celeste…you remember the cartoon “The Simpson’s” This is the robot that Homer and Bart found under the dash that all truck drivers use to drive down the road for them so they can just goof off all day…..

Did not buy that did you ??? This is a GPS mapping unit. This one only has one way communication in it so there is no tracking by big brother, but many fleets can be tracked from outer space and folks now where you are within a few feet 24 hours a day,7 days a week. In either Washington or Oregon people driving cars have let the state put tracking devices on their cars for the purpose of taxing them on how and when they drive….Scary !!!!

Wonder how long it will be before we all have to have these in our vehicles? Fascinating shot.

This is my GPS unit…which cannot be tracked….it only communicates one way….

Interesting image, let’s hope that tales of people driving into the sea because their GPS told them to are apocryphal, have they never heard of maps?
