    Nice job.

I had a chance in a lifetime to see a pack of wolves hunt in the wild. There was a black one in the pack and he seemed to be the largest and in charge.

The hunt was in Yellowstone. It was getting rather dark and I was far away. The photo series is not the best quality but I am happy to have seen and captured the event.

Wolf Hunt Series begins with a shot of the herd of elk. There are links to the next part of the series.

  • Those are awesome-that would have been an amazing opportunity to see that in the wild. For being a 1/2 mile away the photos still turned out pretty good-great job on the series and congrats on being lucky enough to see that!

  • Thanks, I agree…all of the wolves were stunning to see in person but something about the black one is very majestic and captivating.

:-o Weren’t you feeling fear??? Congrats for this great capture. The wolf looks really scary. AND meditating. Kind of thinking: “Should I eat first the girl or the camera?”

  • :) There was a fence there actually, with wide wires so it looks as if there is nothing between us. She was quite nice actually.
