While taking pictures near my Tukwila, WA, home, I sat my umbrella down, opened. When I turned to pick it up, it had caught some of the falling leaves.
I no longer live in the Pacific Northwest, and I miss it terribly. This picture represents everything I grew to love about the region…the smell of the rains, the thriving life I saw around me, the colors, and the way so many opportunities existed, from one moment to the next, if I kept my eyes open to see them. This is one of my most popular works here on the bubble, and it really was no more than a random shot of an unplanned moment.
Taken with a Kodak Easyshare V1003 and no viewfinder.
