My love of the sea stems from my childhood. I was born in Hartlepool on the North East coast and visited the little fishing village of Staithes often, as I still do today. The fishing cobles to be found on the North East coast serve as my models.
Hello my friend, I am back and it is a delight to see your beautiful picture of this magnificent cliff face with its equally fabulous seabirds. Hope you and Cath are well and good to see your work is as special as you. Almaxx
Dear Alma, I was only thinking of you today and how I have missed you on here! We are well, I am painting away for an exhibition I am headlining in Brighouse in April and for Open Studios in May. So pleased to have you back and thank you!

You are amazing Sue! Your subdued colours are so beautiful (and so ‘English’) and your skill is exceptional. The Gannets add huge interest to this scene. Truly lovely work.
