I painted this winter scene using only black gesso and white paint from my imagination, though I suppose it owes a lot to the North Yorkshire Moors(acrylic on canvas 60 × 40 cm 225 views 25.4.11.!http://ih0.redbubble.net

Gorgeous work Sue
Many thanks. :)
Some lovely counterchange throughout Sue and excellent use of shape and texture to create a very believable wintery scene.
Thanks Sam all that tramping around on the moors pays off…. Sometimes!
Excellent study, Sue!
Many thanks, Mike

Many, many thanks John much appreciated.
what an imagination! Sue its beautiful
Thank you Cathy:)
stunning… very powerful and its initial simplicity pushes this further… then the details come out… those great trees… the grass… the birds… the fence… but it’s the path up the center… pulling me in … and along toward the horizon!!!;-)))
Such a wonderful comment as usual James, I like the way you see further than the first glance….in my mind the ‘path’ is a stream…but either way is fine!
Brilliant whites, dark blacks – “simply” a great image!!
Thanks Mattie, it really is just white paint on black gesso.
thank you, Duncan
