Graphite pencil drawing on A1 cartridge paper. Swaledales are a hardy breed of sheep most often found on the North Yorkshire Moors. Both the ewes and rams have horns.
My love of the sea stems from my childhood. I was born in Hartlepool on the North East coast and visited the little fishing village of Staithes often, as I still do today. The fishing cobles to be found on the North East coast serve as my models.

So clever and so lovely. Alma
Thank you Alma. I am experimenting with these in photoshop as I find if I use the magic wand I can clean up areas and leave some greys as shadows. Do you think I have left too much grey?
