Swaledale sheep walking trough deep snow in the Yorkshire Dales.(acrylic on canvas 60 × 40 cm)
snow, sue nichol, swaledale sheep, yorkshire dales
My love of the sea stems from my childhood. I was born in Hartlepool on the North East coast and visited the little fishing village of Staithes often, as I still do today. The fishing cobles to be found on the North East coast serve as my models.
Awesome!!! Awesome!!! Awesome!!! Perfect in every way, except that I feel sorry for the poor sheep, Beautiful texture, as always. :D
Thank you so much, they were heading for the extra supplies of food that the farmer had brought out to them!

I love this painting, Sue. You capture the mood of the day and the place so effectively, and ye, I too, love sheep. Both of my parents were born in Hartlepool, and I spent many a summer there by the sea, so your paintings mean a a lot to me.
