My Entry In the PhotoShop Masters Group – StacyLee
1: Tell me something about In A Dream?
I wanted to create a digital landscape that was magical and dream-like. I wanted to combine several of my own photographs and blend them together seamlessly to make it look like a real place.
2: How did you create it?
“In A Dream” was created by four different photographs of a forest. I changed the opacity layers and used different blending modes to combine the four different landscapes into one landscape that looked real. I highlighted different areas of the image and darkened other ares by selecting different sections of the landscape. Then I went back and made sure they were blended well into the landscape in order to avoid choppiness.
3: What version of PhotoShop did you use?
I use Photoshop CS2 with a Wacom Tablet Intuos3.
4: Any tips or tricks you would like to Share?
My tip is don’t be scared to try new things. In my opinion, it’s the best way to learn Photoshop. There are plenty of tutorials on the web and plenty of people here willing to help you learn. So don’t be scared to ask and try different ways of doing things in Photoshop.
5: How did you go about learning PhotoShop?
I basically taught myself. I took a digital art class in college with a professor who knew virtually nothing about Photoshop. Basically, he left the students to learn on their own. It was very hard at first, but I never gave up and kept with it. I made sure I used Photoshop frequently in order to retain my skills and build on them so I could learn new ones.

Try sometime taking 4,5,6 photos of the same scene on tripod (always tripod)by taking forground in one shot, middle ground in the second and background third and layer them in the photoshop….but each with different exposure…..u can achive dream this way..but must be precised…..Its fun
