Thank you Stacy for clarifying,
I believe that we are all made in the image of God and God is Love and compassion. Therefore our being/soul is that of love and compassion, it is just that we must reign in our acquired minds of selfishness, ego and grasping, in order that we can let that what is the god (love and compassion) within us reign supreme. this can not be achieved without deep felt effort.
The problem with relying on an external source, is that no effort is exerted to let love and compassion rule our actions and thoughts. Instead it is blamed on the external source for not achieving this. the general phrase I hear so often is “its god will”, no it s not it is each individuals responsibility
By relying or blaming a third party for ones mis or good fortune is deceiving oneself. God has given us the tolls to succeed in all that is good, it is up to us to use it wisely.
