We’ve had a little set back with Timmy. He has been EXTREMELY ill the past week. Fever of 104.9, vommiting, etc.. Well – Today he was feeling SO much better…he tolerated a feeding-tube feed, fever of ONLY 99.4 all day…he was up and running around for the first time in a WHILE! So, I decided to give him some of the deer jerky we made him. HE LOVES THAT STUFF! Around 4 hours later, Timmy’s fever was back to 102. He was couging, sluggish, threw up two times, and was having trouble breathing! I couldn’t believe it. I put two-and-two together and realized that he hasn’t been sick at all! He is having a food reaction! The reason!? The Jerky! He can have deer – but NOT JERKY! He was SO UPSET! I guess it’s the way it’s cooked. Just like he can have applesauce, but not raw or just baked apples. I guess jerky isn’t cooked enough at a high enough temp! I was so scared! Still am. He is so sad and looks really bad. So pale.. This is WHY he can’t have food. Could you imagine his life if we never got this diagnosis? Always ill like this? Please pray for him. He’s having a REALLY rough night tonight. He was crying and really upset about his jerky! Said some things a little six yr old should not be saying. “Why did God Make me this way?” “I can’t live like this anymore!”.. Please say a prayer for us! I need it too..It’s so hard to be strong! I needed to vent at 1:40am! It’s going to be an all nighter again! Thanks for listening.
