This is absolutely wonderful. I especially note the wounds on Christ’s shoulder, the one impressed on his sacred flesh by the weight of the cross. Tradition tells us that it was this wound which caused him the more severe physical pain. This is a canvas one could study and meditate on for a long time without tiring of it.
