Assumption Of Love

I thought my baby loved me
But I guess I was wrong
It was an assumption of love
And I’ve been fooled for too long

She used to hug and kiss me
When I got home
But now she goes out all night
And I’m left here alone

Assumption of love it’s just a fantasy
Assumption of love it’s fading away
Assumption of love it’s just a fantasy
Assumption of love it’s fading away

My lady and I always used to
We used to have a good time
But now we fight and argue
It’s such a waste, it’s such a crime

She used to hug and kiss me
When I got home
But now she goes out all night
And I’m left here alone

Assumption of love it’s just a fantasy
Assumption of love it’s fading away
Assumption of love it’s just a fantasy
Assumption of love it’s fading away

Gone is all the magic
It just fades and disappears
Our love has been displaced now
Replaced by empty tears

She used to hug and kiss me
When I got home
But now she goes out all night
And I’m left here alone

Assumption of love it’s just a fantasy
Assumption of love it’s fading away
Assumption of love it’s just a fantasy
Assumption of love it’s fading away
