A Foggy Farmhouse Sunset by Scott Ruhs

Small (23.2" x 10.9")

Available to buy on…

This image is actually one of my older photos taken on August 23, 2007 in Windsor Nova Scotia, Canada. This is the farmhouse that is just up the hill from my house. I thought I had taken it with my Canon Powershot point and shoot, but after checking out the meta data I found that it was with the Canon Rebel XT. I still had a lot to learn about taking photographs at that time, and I still do now and will always be learning and honing my skills. Even though this isn’t a great photo from a technical point of view there is something about it that catches my attention. I hope this image will have a similar effect on you the viewer. Thanks for taking the time to take a look.

Great capture Scoot. Could you add Canada to your location. Thanks :>)) Leslie

  • It was already there below the camera information, but I added it to the descriptive paragraph and the tags.

Many of my favorite images are not technically perfect………and there are many technically perfect images which have no emotive appeal. This image sings!

  • Thanks Leanna! I try to balance the technical and emotional aspects, but ultimately it is the emotional impact that should win when creating an image. We practice the technical aspects so they become 2nd nature and then we are free to concentrate on the artistic or emotional aspects.
I truly appreciate your comments. Thanks again!
