Descend into my Nightmare

Large View Recommended.

Taken inside the remains of a small utility shed. The ladder pictured descends about 20 feet into the darkness and serves as the only access point to one of the large tanks that were used to store water for the steam plant of the Red Cliff Radar Station.

The graffiti on the wall says “Heaven” with an arrow pointing to the surface, and I decided to leave the faint reflections of debris at the bottom for a somewhat spooky feel.

I did start to climb down, and got just below the surface before fear took over. I might actually go back some day with better equipment (eg long pants, gloves, a helmet, and some lights.)
