This is an acrylic painting that was originally designed as a gift to my mom and step-dad for Christmas. My step-dad was diagnosed with cancer awhile back and has been using the Gerson Theropy, which is a treatment in which a cancer patient basically cleanses the body of cancer by eating no meat, all organic foods, taking specific vitamins, and following a list of other routines. It has consumed their lives but is showing major improvement. As a way to show them my support I designed this piece as a gift for them. The blue and green section at the top represent the land we see where the sun shines and the plants grow beautifully. The monocromatic brown section at the bottom represents the underground where all the magic of nature takes place. The circles represent water that seeps down into the soil, feeding the roots and allowing the plant (the verticle lines) to rise up and out of the ground giving us a wonderful site and a healthy food source. The cycle of nature creates a cycle of life that has kept my step-dad alive and my family and myself are very grateful for that.
