OK this owl, and I have forgotten which owl it is, although she may have been a European Eagle owl, would not actually call twit twoo, as only tawny owls twit twoo, other owls screech. Also this owl is diurnal as it has yellow eyes and my image after playing with layers ended up looking rather nocturnal! However i quite liked how it turned out!

The owl was taken at Woodlands, Nr Dartmouth, Devon, the background is stock

Really nicely done – this is lovely. Those eyes are mesmerising.

  • It’s a shame as I took this in a hurry. His keeper had just got him from his perch to take him out to fly and I grabbed the shot as he was going out. As I had a 50mm on my camera I was too close so had to chop his/her lower portion off!
