Southcoombe, near Crediton, Devon, UK I love this gateway and view. (15.04.10) As I stood here for about 30 mins only 2 cars passed by, and all I could hear was the evening song of many birds and the distance bell practice at the church at Colbrooke. I could have sat there for ages. I always thought this would face West however west was actually slightly to the right, therefore i have decided a compass is on my list of things to buy! The weather forecasters promised us fab sunsets due to the ash cloud over Britain, however over the past 3 days I have not seen anything that special!) The light was just starting to fade, so this is my first ever attempt in such conditions. I used a tripod, ISO 100, F16 and off hand do not remember what shutter speed as I changed it quite few times!
