This is the field above the Meldon Reservoir car park, Okehampton, Devon, in the Dartmoor National Park. Taken from the carpark at Meldon Quarry. I have tried to take this before but I only had the 18-55mm then and it was too far away!

The row of trees on the left are these
which go all the way down to the edge of the reservoir.

gorgeous light and composition – so beautifully seen !
I love it down round there, and those trees running down on the left are so old. Thank you.

Whoa. Stellar!!!!!
Love the composition sooooooo much…it’s like we’re walking down one hill and up the other and then turning back to enjoy the countryside we just left…LOVELY!!!!
The first time we went there we walked from the carpark I was standing in and over to the reservoir, it’s about 1/2 hr walk just to get there, so now we normally just park by the reservoir and walk round that instead! However today I was pushed for time and wanted to try my had at getting blurred water and knew of a small waterfall near the quarry carpark hence why I was there! Thank you for your kind comment.

Gorgeous Celia…Ilove that winding path
I’ve never been up there! We usually cut in from the left! as we tend to walk around the reservoir! We intend to explore the otherside of the water more though!

OOOOo Celia!!!! Here we go … I’m standing on the hill right beside you … and I’m spreading my wings and floating gently over this magnificent landscape!!!!! Glorious rich color and such beautiful light!!!!! AHHH!!!! No, don’t call me back yet … I’m having way too much fun up here!!!!!!
Thank you Lois, flying would be the easiest way! Those hills puff me out! I walked a fraction up one today, (puffing and panting hard, I’m so unfit!) to get some height on this shot, but it just wasn’t right so after trying several locations took this one from near my car!

Wow Celia, this is magnificent, what a wonderful image and a stunning scene. I dream of being somewhere like this :o) xxx
LOL well by coming back to teh UK we had no ties, and although some of Kent is beautiful, I didn’t want to go back there, so one of Devon’s pluses was the beautiful countryside, although there are some wondeful places in Kent I’d love to go back and photograph now I am back in teh UK!
