Okay I am being brave here! I wanted to see if I could manage to take a shot with my cheapy studio light unit I bought, of myself! I had trouble focusing properly and ended up using a toy to focus on on, roughly where I was propping myself on the sofa, then pressing the self-timer (10secs), throwing myself on the sofa and hoping for the best!
Canon EOS 500D 18-55mm black cloth over the sofa, cheap flash and white umbrella set up.
Processed in PSP. I followed a tutorial out of a magazine to process it!
I thank all the fabulous artists on Redbubble for inspiring me to improve my photography. These days I mostly take portrait shots and on a part-time basis do so for money! Got to say you nailed it totally Celia, the half smile on your face shows what fun you are having and your eyes so bright and a little lift of a eyebrow, like how you hair is all tumbled. Beautiful work and lighting,and gemtle B&W a definate for your wall.This is a stunning SP my friend.

Excellent work, you, pretty lady! The “cheap flash” certainly provides rich results IMHO. Now I’m jealous! LOL!
Thank you Johanne, it was £51 (new) off ebay, and includes the flash/strobe/light whatever you call it! The lightstand and white umbrella. I then bought a wireless synch remote for it as apparently the cable ones can blow up your cameras.
