This is a re-work of my Scruffy picture I took of her 3 days after I found her abandoned on the “campo” scared and alone. She is a Yorkie cross something, has a bad overshot lower jaw and a curly tail like a pig!

January 2009 ~ “Well 3 days ago I was all alone, scared, hungry, and cold, living by a lake. Then this big black dog came upto me and found me, followed by three humans sitting on big animals I had never seen before. I was terrified and cowered down. One of the humans, a crazy lady, picked me up. I struggled when she took me near one of those big animals, so she carried me a little distance away. I was so snug in her arms next to her warm fleece. She carried me for ages I was so tired I just snuggled into her. After a long walk she put me in this room with shavings on the floor. Another human gave me some ham sandwich, it tasted so good. Not long after I was put in a car…. I kept trying to sit on the crazy lady’s lap! She took me to a shop where I saw another lady who ran this thing over my body, I heard them say I didn’t have a microchip. Well the other lady then got a spray and smothered me in this stuff and picked ticks out of my ear. The crazy lady bought a collar for me then drove me to a little house where another little black and tan dog was. He scared me and I growled at him a few times. The crazy lady left me in the garden and I went to sleep after having a little dinner. Well after having another trip to someone they call a vet who gave me a jab, I have now been here 3 days. This crazy lady says she is now my Mummy and there is also a smaller human like her who is my sister she says. I like the other dog too, he doesn’t bother me. Apparently I will meet my new Daddy tonight. I hope he likes me. As you can see it hasn’t taken me long to get comfortable!!! Oh and I have been ever such a good girl. I don’t pee or poo in the house. I don’t chew anything. I just love my new family and they love me.”

I think she must have been thrown out at night as she is terrified of going into our back garden at night (our spotlight is broken!) and just cowers on the grass in fear and refuses to go to the toilet! Anyway whilst RB was down the other day I did a bit of playing on PSP and this was one of the images I played with!!!

this is a gorgeous portrait ! what a sweet little baby .. who could ever so such a thing to this darling
  • Thank you Lucinda! I haven’t a clue what her bacxkground is, but the vet thinks she was Spanish owned, and they generally don’t let their pets enjoy the comforts of sofas etc! Well this little naughty little lady keeps jumping on my bed! Last night I only evicted her twice, but it has been as many as 6 times that she has jumped up and sat on my head!

Celia this is outstanding…..the composition, lighting and colours are superb…this Image reminds me of a Victorian Oil Painting!!

  • Ah – thank you, well over the past week I found, by accident, a new processing method in PSP that I am rather fond of! I have added about 6 zoo animal pictures using the same process! Thank you!

Celia. this was a lovely photo before but now it is truely outstanding and has the look of an 18th century painting. And what a sweet little dog Scruffy is.:-)

  • Thank you, you would have died a minute ago, unfortunately Hannah couldn’t get my camera to work! Boots was sat next to me. I had the laptop on my lap! Scruffy leapt over Boots onto me and lay on my face!!! Umm I think she wanted a cuddle!
