Oh thanks coffetea, so kind, there is already a similar one on my page one of my bubble which I did a month ago…. well i was just playing with the extract tool and layers, but when i finished it, the image was rather small, so i have just redone it with a bigger bit of sky to make the overall image bigger! Anyway, because there is already a similar image floating around various groups, I have not submitted it to any groups, just put it at the bottom of my bubble, on the vaguest off chance someone wants to buy it!!! LOL Pigs, um, horses do fly! LOL

LOL, you would laugh, it was actually done on Serif but that is splitting hairs, I was bored during the Footie Euro 2008, so I decided to play and made the original version which was rather small! I am not really any good, I was just playing, it’s only an extraction, well 2, and a bit of cloning! Nothing too taxing! Thanking you so much though for your kind comment :0))

Great job of masking/selection, and there’s lots of tricky bits to deal with like the tail and the reins (did I spell that right?). But what really makes this convincing is the compatibility between the lighting on the subject and the sky… it’s like the position of the light source is the same in both shots, which for me is the most important aspect of photomontage. Your composition is also excellent, and I love your square crop. Awesome job!!

Yes, it could be pretty easy to do, for sure! just add a little more canvas on the right hand side and clone in some clouds! It is a lovely piece of work and I can imagine it would sell as prints!

Thanking you so much, but believe me this is not complicated! Patience needed to extract the horse and rider, but I took the sky, selected the best cloud, added extracted horse as a new layer, reopened the sky on another layer (renamed) roughly cropped out the bit to cover the rear legs where they were missing, put that layer over the top of the horse layer matching the clouds as best as possible to the bottom layer, and cloned clouds where needed!

Well this was actually done on serif and the sky was the background, then I did the horse and copied it, went to the sky picture and pasted it as a new layer, and again did the same with the cloud extraction.
