Newmillerdam in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, England.
After recent heavy snowfalls I walked 5 miles in the hope that the lake would be picturesque. It didn’t disappoint in the slightest.
The sun was coming in almost directly behind me here, the trees casting a shadown almost to the far bank. Half an hour later the trees on the far bank were all in shade, fortunately my timing was good/lucky.
Canon 400D at 42mm, 1/200 at F5, dialed in 2 stop overexposure in Av to prevent under exposure due to the snow. Converted to JPEG in photoshop CS3, no alterations to any part of the exposure.
