Tilt

Take a walk in the rain of my sadness.
Get drenched in the bitterness of every drop.
Tread in the footsteps of all my pain,
Feel it jolt up your spine, feel it never stop.

Then ask me why I look so down.

Tears like acid,
Burning away my strength,
Dissolving my resolve,
Melting my self-esteem.
Anger boiling down
To resentment and hate
Which I know
Can only lead
To one last thing.

Take a walk in the rain of my madness.
Get soaked in the insanity of every drop.
Tread in the footprints of all my anger,
Feel it burn through your mind, feel it never stop.

Then ask me why I did what I did.
