Hello. 18th August and number 230 in the ongoing 365 image mega series.

Taken tonight at home.

The paper hearts in this image are going to be used in another picture in a few days time, it’s just there’s a lot more to cut out and it’s taking a while! So I thought I’d use the few I’ve already done for this pic, seeing as I was stuck for inspiration tonight until about 10pm. I like cutting it fine!

Levels adjustment, a high pass filter layer at five pixels and then a black and white conversion layer with some erasing to bring out the colour in one of the paper hearts. A pencil texture layer was blended with overlay and erased from the key and the colour heart. This was flattened then place onto the same texture layer and partially erased to get rid of some glaring white spots. Contrast adjustment.

Canon EOS 20D / Cosina 100mm macro lens.

I’ve been taking photographs since 1997 and I still love it. After a brief dislike of photomanipulation I now use Photoshop extensively on a majority of my work. People are my favourite subject and I’m always on the look out for new models, so drop me a line if you’re interested! :)
