great lines,,, well done
thanks midzing. wish i had have moved that extra millimetre though and not included that bit of extra rail. oh well, this is the as is experiment after all.
I really like this latest batch of your images – right up my alley in terms of style. Great clash of lines and tones in this shot. I did notice that little corner sticking out on the left but its still a great shot, especially as it is “as is”
thanks man. yeah these shots were all from last night. first time really since xmas that i’ve had the time/energy/motivation to go out and spend a good few hours taking photos.
that damn corner! the temptation was definitely there to get rid of it, but now it just wouldn’t feel right. strange as it seems, i feel like i would be selling out. crazy huh. so i see it as a lesson to keep trying till i get it right.
I admire your dedication – I would have been inside photoshop before I even transfered the shot from the camera :)
Its definitely a good way to improve your photography
The title is great, too – one can easily imagine soldiers saluting – the perspective comes in handy for this interpretation. Very good picture!
hey, thanks maremarie. yeah the title was one of those ones that just jumps into your head straight away. cheers for the comment.
i think the extra bit of rail adds continuity to the picture, and adds a certain extent of a natural feel to it, knowing that you had to refrain yourself from editing it out.
please consider one of your artworks for our current challenge Patterns in SHADOWS & REFLECTIONS
