This was taken on the way upto Alcock Tarn in the lake district (national park), UK, a lovely morning, we started wearing full wet weather gear and by the time we got to the top most things had been stripped off as we were far to sweaty..

Love this one. A definate one to be a favourite. Love how you have drawn out the earth tones and the wonderful grey skies. And only half way up, sure you needed the gasping posts. lol
Simon Duckworth
Lol more like grasping posts ! at least we saw the funny side of being bent over trying to draw breath in and look at the scenary at the same time.
Myron Watamaniuk

Simon Duckworth replied

Lovely shot…looks like a gap in the clouds provided the concentration of sun in the valley

Arletta
Gorgeous piccie, Duckles darling; but, what – oh what – is full wet weather gear?
Yes, that is a serious question. I mean, I know what umbrellas and galoshes and wet suits are, but, I don’t know what would constitute full wet weather gear for a walk down your way.
Full wet weather gear for me is a leather and/or wool coat, a fairly waterproof pair of high tops, enough money for a cup of coffee if a Cafe happens along, and a smile – which is my umbrella, ala much good advice from singing dead men.
Simon Duckworth replied
Well you very nearly got it in one… wet weather gear is anything that keeps you dry !! but usually minus the umbrella as the wind would make it fly… so I would wear big thick socks to keep little piggy toes dry, in good strong walking boots, then socks pulled over said thick trousers or waterprofs and weather proff coat aka gagoul – breathable so one dont get soggy with sweat, and of course a hat, cap and walking stick… and as you said money for a cuppa. which there wasnt one… but, a really nice on at the bottom…
Arletta
I like really nice bottoms. So, when do we get to see a picture of that?
Uhm .. when do we get to see a picture of you with your little piggy toes dry, in good walking boots, etc. It sounds like a darling outfit, and it’s bound to be all the rage in Paris, just as soon as you can prove it’s massively inconvenient, uncomfortable, and possibility detrimental to the health of females. The Parisian runways, I mean, of course!
Well, really, it might be a very interesting photo. ...hint, hint …
andreisky
